The Mission Workgroup
The Mission statement is...
"Gathering to Worship, Going out to serve, Sharing God's Love"
mission group aims
The Apostle John tells us:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"
Jesus said to those who followed him, listened to what he had to say and obeyed his instructions:
"I am the way; the truth and the life; no one comes to the father except through me."
Go forth therefore and make all nations my disciples; baptize men everywhere in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all that I have commanded you
These three verses tell us all that we need to know about Christian Mission. God loves us. He wants us to live on with Him after we die. He sent His Son to show us the way to do so. That way is through faith in Jesus and, as long as we observe all that he (Jesus) has taught us, we can satisfy God's plan for our lives.
